I had to remove the post i published earlier about the Baha'i documentary that was on TV a couple of days ago.
Why, I hear you ask? Well here are my reasons:
A friend of mine who is serving in Haifa, told me after reading my post, that when that documentary came out at the movies in Haifa, the Universal House of Justice asked them not to go see it.
I also just found out about this email sent by the Baha'i Public Information Office:
"We would like to point out that this program does not provide an accurate, well-researched or sympathetic portrayal of the Faith. It would be preferable not to promote the program among Baha'is or members of the public. Individual Baha'is should not be disturbed by the program, but remain assured that even negative publicity can lead inquirers to investigate the Faith in order to discover its true nature. If individuals receive any questions about the program, they should answer these in a straightforward and truthful way."
Even though i did told you about the positives outcomes of this program and how it lead 30 people to ask about the Faith. What really pushed me to remove the post was this part of the email: "It would be preferable not to promote the program among Baha'is or members of the public". And I think i was doing just that by explaining in details what the show was really about.
Also there must be a very good reason and wise wisdom in the fact that the Universal House of Justice asked not to watch this program!
But i would like to thank you all for your lovely comments about that post though. They were really nice to read.
