Ayyam-I-Ha's picnic with friends and neighbours

On Saturday afternoon, our dear friends Erin and Morgan, organised a picnic with some Baha'i Friends and neighbours in an adjacent park next to our house.

It was such a lovely afternoon and we all really had a great time just chilling and relaxing and having nice and fun conversations and eating yummy food, all while having the joy of watching the children run around freely and playing together at the playground.

This is just the type of Ayyam-I-Ha (Days out of Time) that we love and really enjoy!!

Special Ayyam-I-Ha Suprise gift from Mauritius

Where do I begin to explain what happened on Saturday morning!!!!

Mona woke up to a really big big surprise!!! A Big Red Shinny Box!!!

Mona's grandmother, Mami-Joon, from Mauritius, sent Mona a surprise gift for Ayyam-I-Ha.
It was truly a dream come true for my dear little Mona, as she had been longing for one of those for a long long time now....

You cannot imagine the surprise and excitement building up while she was opening the big red present!! And when she realized what was the picture on the box...

... she was ballistic with joy, exhilaration, and happiness!! I thought I had to ventilate her!!! lol...
She was jumping up and down... and was so excited that she lifted the whole box (which was quite heavy) to show me what it was and to beg me to quickly open it for her!!! lol....

She was quite impatient for me to put the famous toy together!! She even helped me to put it together and was a great assistant!! lol...

Mona received this beautiful hot pink shopping trolley from her mami-joon!!
She was so happy and hadn't stop playing with it since then!!

Here she was saying 'Thank you Mami-Joon' while I was taking the picture!! lol...

She even put her Dora doll in the shopping trolley to take her shopping! Making sure her seat belt was on nicely.... safety first!! lol...

She was even talking to her Dora doll, explaining to her what they needed to buy from the shop (milk, sugar, bread and eggs!!) lol....

Later that day, we called Mami-joon to wish her a happy Ayyam-i-Ha and to thank her for the beautiful shopping trolley! Mona expressed her excitement and thanks by yelling very loudly over the phone!! My ear almost went deaf.

Thanks mum, we love you and miss you lots...
Happy Ayyam-I-Ha mami-joon!!

'Bollywood Night' Ayyam-I-Ha party

So Friday night, after the Tender Seedlings Ayyam-I-Ha party, we all went to my dear francophone friend, Yassi, house' for a 'Bollywood Night' dress-up and movie party!
It was awesome!
We had lovely Indian food, almost everyone came all dressed-up Indian style and after the dinner, we watched a Bollywood Movie with one of my favourite Indian actress, Rani Mukherjee. Unfortunately I couldn't watch the movie till the end (didn't even get to watch till half way, because bollywood movies goes on for ages, at least 3hrs!!! and I have a toddler who had already been to a party and was dead tired!! lol)
But we had a great time and great laughs too... and lots of French speaking!!! lol

Here are some of the pictures:

Tender Seedlings Ayyam-I-Ha's Party

Last Friday was Tender Seedlings (Baha'i Class and playgroup for toddlers and preschoolers) Ayyam-I-Ha's Party!

It was, as far as the kids are concern, the best Ayyam-I-Ha's party ever!!!
We really have a great time and I will keep this post short because there are lots of pictures for this one!!

The house where we hold the class had been brilliantly decorated by our hosts (Fereshthe and Kaz), and when everyone arrived we started with the chanting of Baha'i Prayers, then we had a little 'questions and answers' session about Ayyam-I-Ha and what it means. Then with all the kids and parents present, we got up and sang and dance to an Ayyam-I-Ha song. We had some games and the food was really great too. The kids were hook to the table where all the candy and lollies were!! lol... Then we gave them the gifts which Auntie Dori had picked for them and the little ones were in heavens!! They immediately opened their presents to play with them and before we know it, the house was a war zone with confetti and streamers and toys all over the place. But it was so much fun to see the kids happy, which made us, parents, very happy too...
Then the whole bunch of us headed to the big 'Bollywood Night' Ayyam-I-Ha Party (more on this in the next post).

You cannot imagine how hard it was for me to get good and decent pictures of the kids together, they were so happy and excited and of course it was almost impossible to make them pose for the camera for even just a tiny second, but anyway, here are the pictures of the Tender Seedlings Ayyam-I-Ha Fiesta:
