Our new house!!

So yeah, we have moved in and we are now finally settled into our new home!!

We moved to our new house during the 'Ayyam-i-Ha Celebrations and it took us 4 days to move out from the previous house and to clean it up and move into and clean the new house.
Mona and myself got a very back chest flu on the eve of the big moving day and you can imagine that the only thing i desperately wanted to do was to stay in bed, well i couldn't do that, because first of all, our bed was in the rental truck all dismantle along with all our belongings, plus i had to take care of Mona and help out with the packing, the moving and the cleaning!!!
It was a very very long week!!
Even though hubby had some help with the moving of the big furniture to the new house, he did most of the work himself and was very very patient with Mona and me, as we were two very grumpy sick girls!!
Mona was also a great!! Even though she was sick and had almost no toys or room to play in, she was very happy and patient on those 4 days of intense moving and was happy and ready to go help clean the house when we woke her up early in the morning.
For 4 days, we woke up at 6.30am and got back to our new home around 8.30pm!! We had so much scrubbing of the walls to do, Mona had been very creative in the previous house and had scribbled on all the walls and doors in the previous house!! She really was creative, because she use all sorts of pens to write with (pencil, pens, markers, texters, colored pens and pencils, any sort of pen we had, she had used them!!) Hubby did most of the scrubbing and his arms were all sore from it!!
Admist the pain, sickness and tiredness, we made it a must to attend our first Baha'í 19 Day Feast in our new community on the 1st of March, and we love our new community! It's quite small but feels so warm and nice, and there are 3 French speaking people in it!! I am in heavens!! And we are going to be hosting the first 19 Day Feast of the new Baha'i year!! How cool is that??!! :)

After the move, we took the weekend to rest and recover, and Mona and me started to felt better.
We are so much enjoying our new home!! It's really beautiful and nice to live it.
We love the backyard, specially Mona, she enjoys going up to the vine and pick up and eat the grapes right from the tree!! She has so much room to play around with her bikes and other ride on toys. She also loves the big bathtub (spa bath), she splashes the water inside the tub and even pretends to swim... and i am happy, because she splashes away and not a drop falls on the floor!!!
Hubby and I also, enjoy sitting outside in the back yard in the morning, and as soon as it gets a bit cooler, we will enjoy being more often outside.
It's been really hot lately here, Adelaide even broke the record of hottest days in a row!! It's been more than 11 days of non-stop heat (usually it's about 4 to 5 days of really intense heat and then with a cool change, but not this time!!). Everybody here is complaining and praying for cool change of weather!!

Everyday we go out into our new neighbourhood to discover what it has... We have everything close by (like two streets away), shopping center, pharmacy, doctor, post office, entertainment, cafés and restaurants, and the police station is just in front of our house.

On another note, Mona is turning two on the 16th of March!!
So this Saturday, we are going to have a party at our new house, for Mona's 2nd birthday!! And Mona is getting more and more excited about it each day!! She has been singing 'Happy birthday to Mona" the whole week!! NON-STOP!!! And even pretends to blow the candles and claps her hands afterwards!!
This week we have been planning and buying things for the party. We are not going to have a huge big 'wowing' party like we did for her 1st birthday, ( i think her first birthday was more of a celebration for us to have survive the first year of parenting!! lol), but it's still going to be pretty, cute and very girly!!! lol

Anyways, I know lots of you have been waiting to see the pictures of the house, which i finally took last week. So here you are... the pictures of our new home!!
Enjoy!!

I'm not sure which is the more impressive: your new house, or the fact that you can address us simultaneously in French and English! Thanks for sharing, dear.

I believe I've seen your comments on the Baha'i homeschooling list, so I thought I'd come and check out your blog. Pretty awesome! Congrats on a successful move! I was curious about your Feasts & Holy days calender. I noticed thru a quick peruse that in July, the Feast on the 13 is missing and that Ayyam-i-Ha days were missing. Did you make this calendar? It really is nice to have a calendar with all these important dates while we live in a gregorian world! Thanks for having it, as I have copied it to my husband's blog!
