Day 28, 29 and 30 of 365

My Little Explorer
Ever since I bought Mona this little pair of binoculars, she hasn't left the house without having it around her neck!! She is so cute walking around and looking at the trees and birds and almost everything else with the binoculars!!

29/365
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
Even though I am not so fond of doughnuts, these Krispy Kremes were brought specially for me from Sydney (They are not available in Adelaide). Don't they look yummy?

Day 24 to 27 of P365 and extra shots

27/365
My two sleeping babies
This shot was taken this afternoon, right after lunch. We were watching a movie and hubby fell asleep on my shoulders, then Mona went in his arms and she too started to sleep. They both look so cute, so I managed to get up without waking them and took this shot.

Deep Blue Vanilla Sky
Coming back from grocery shopping and saw this gorgeous sky, had to take a shot.

25/365

One Girl Marching Band
This was during our afternoon playtime. We had just finished playing with building blocks when Mona decided she wanted to play dress-up. She put on one of her old sun-hats and a handbag that mami-joon gave to her. Those were enough for her as dress-up. Then she wanted to play 'musical marching band' and got our my pot lids to make some really cool music, which sounded more like atrocious loud banding noise to me!

View of my street
This is what you see when you are coming down my street. I love those huge green trees on both side of the road and how they merge together in the middle to give shade. The photo really doesn't do it any justice, it's truly breath taking....

Here are a few more shots of Mona and Naysan.
I just couldn't resist taking more photos of them, they just looked so cute together and the 3 of us had a great time laughing and enjoying each other's company on this very very hot day! We stayed inside today, because it was really hot day (41 degrees) and apparently it's gonna be this hot all week long!! I say long live the air con and bring on the ice-creams!!

And some more shots of Mona, the One girl marching band!! lol

My Project 365 and Photography

This One Photo A Day Project (Project 365) is so amazing!! I am still doing it and so totally loving every moment of it, even more now than ever before...

This project is just unbelievable!! Besides just being so much fun, it has done so many other things for me!! Obviously, it has made me really pay attention to how I'm taking photos and has given me the perfect medium to finally learn how to come more familiar with the processing and editing of the shots. But more importantly, it has completely changed the way I look at the world... I mean my world is completely different now!! Absolutely EVERYTHING has become art!!! Nature, old and new buildings, busy and deserted streets, street signs, cars household items, people, animals... everything!! It has really expanded my view of photography!!
But even outside all of that, this project has totally kept me motivated and going on and even Mona has started to take participate by telling me what I should take photo of and even posing for me, she is really getting good at posing for pictures now, lol...

But what I love most, is each night, to be able to sit with my laptop and get lost in the processing phase and editing of the shots I took earlier in the day. I am so totally digging this phase of 'post processing' and I got some many cool new actions in photoshop that it makes me dizzy with the choices I have to face when processing the photos... lol
I even started to edit and process older photos, even our wedding photos.. lol... but I will share those later on...
You can see all my shots for the project by clicking on my Flickr sideshow in the side bar.
I also joined Liz and Amanda (who are my inspirations in digital scrapbooking and Amanda who taught me a lot on photoshop via her amazing tutorials) at the Flickr group Project 365 among others who have incredible talent and inspire me to take great shots...

I got so many great shots while doing this project, but unfortunately only one a day can make the cut, as for the others, the runners-ups as we call them, will be saved for scrapping and even framing later on... But still I so much wanted to show off my shots that I'm even thinking of doing another blog just about my photography, but I just can't wait till that is done, so here are some of the shots that I want you to see... (brace yourselves, there are lots of photos!! and be happy because I didn't share all of them here... will post them later... lol)
Hope you enjoy them...

(ps: It was not her birthday, just a cake that we baked together, that she abosolutely needed to have candles on it to blow them... lol.. she is now asking me to bake cakes for her everyday just so that she can blow the candles....)

Dead tired and Day 23 of Project 365

23/365
Cool Chocolate ICE Drink... Yum!

(Image can be click for larger view)

Gosh I'm flat tired today! I just want to go throw myself in bed and sleep like forever...
Today was a 'not so hot day', which meant that it was the perfect day to go out with Mona. We walked for hours, well i did, she would go back in her stroller whenever she got tired, we went to the library, we went shopping and ... we went to the park!! There was almost nobody at the park today, so I had to play with her and she made me run!! lol... we ran a lot!!!!! And now my feet are dead and I feel so tired and sleepy and it's not even 8pm!!
This shot is of her having a cold ice chocolate drink after the park. I love the angle I got for this shot... We were sitting just in front of the patio screen doors at the cafe, and I was trying to avoid the light coming from the glass panes, so I put the camera on the table and got this awesome shot of her...

P365 - Lunch Time

Today's picture is a story board. As usual image can be clicked for a larger view.

15/365

This was our lunch today.
The first two images on top are Mona's and the bottom ones were mine.
Mona had cherry tomatoes, lebanese cucumber, ham, chicken breast and cheese with one slice of wholemeal bread, and guava juice.
While I was taking a picture of her plate, she was next to me and was to impatient to wait, lol (see her little hand taking a slice of cucumber... so cute and so lucky to have got it on camera too!).

I had the same thing, but added mushrooms, garlic chives and chilli sauce to it. I also made mine into a 'croque Madame' (one with the chicken and one with the ham).
Needless to say, we enjoyed our lunch!
